THE PRETEXT
OF THE "SCUBA HELMEST."

In my work, I use the scuba helmet as a unifying element, a choice that transcends its rich visual aesthetic. The helmet symbolizes the depths and the unknown, evoking a sense of exploration and mystery. However, its significance goes even further as it provides essential protection for my characters.

The helmet acts as a shield, allowing them to survive in a hostile environment. When they wear it, they are safe and protected from their surroundings. It allows them to be themselves, protecting their identity and innermost being. Thus, the scuba helmet becomes a barrier between them and the outside world, allowing them to maintain their integrity.

Additionally, using the scuba helmet is a deliberate choice to avoid depicting specific faces. This

way, each work can represent anyone, not someone in particular. This allows viewers to identify with the characters and find a reflection of their own experiences and existence in them. The absence of defined faces makes the work universal, allowing each figure to represent the human condition: the struggle to preserve one's identity in an increasingly challenging and alienating world.
